Mountains have a unique quality – they allow you to forget yourself. They are so big, so vast, so huge, and yet, so close, that for just some time, your perspective of life itself changes. You get “out of the box” quite literally. Something so solid, so big, and so close makes you think different. You may not realize it at once, but it pokes holes in your everyday logic, with which you operate your phone and laptop. It gives you a bigger idea of yourself, and life. The mountains of Sikkim did precisely this to me.
